This is a class for those who are in desperate need of some constructive rest and stress relief but who can't face the idea of a conventional yoga class. It is a class for those who can't sleep, are overwhelmed, or simply want to meditate in a group. It is a class for all those who want to connect with the peace within.
We will be exploring the 'other' practices of Yoga, those that don't get the attention they deserve in a body-focused Yoga class. These include Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation), Pranayama (breathing practice) and Dharana (meditation). In addition to this there will be some very accessible gentle movement/stretches each week to ease the body and mind into the stiller practices mentioned above.
No prior experience needed - all welcome!
Where? Top hall at St Swithun's school (OX1 5PS). Enter through the gates at the far end of the car park, then through the hidden entrance by the colourful flowery wall. Parking available.
How much? £51 for the first 6 week term or £10 drop-in
What to bring? A mat, warm layers, a blanket or 2, a cushion or 2
